Revenue generation through multiple means is a very good idea.
Information Service
I would like to make most of the form thread details be accessible to members who had paid at least $100 or enrolled for recursive $20/month. We should make the thread heading very attractive and make it accessible to public. Core members should review all the thread headings, I think they are already doing it now. I can volunteer to this activity. I do have 8 years of experience in studying US immigration law, though I am not a lawyer, with my experience I can be of some guidance.

Provide advertisement (Ad), like we see top, right side and bottom page Ad in hotmail, yahoo etc. Apart from the flash, images Ads, we should also do Google text Ads. Flash Ad could be charged based on the space, number of page hits. Google pays 25 cents per click on the hyperlink for the text Ad. I had managed a project, which implemented the feature. I am sure we have lot of technical experts and get this implemented, very well.
Corporate Sponsorship
If a corporation sponsors money then most probably there will be some tax advantage. I do know IV�s tax code. Consulting companies could pay IV from our company account.
Physicians
We can identify all our physician members and provide help for members and their parents in need. In turn the members who had taken help could contribute to IV�s good cause, in terms of funds, taking part in activities, etc. Hi the concept is very simple, if you had gone to a doctor, you will end up spending 2 hr waiting to see the doctor and then pay 150 to talk to them for 15 min. We will help you and intern you help us, or may be help yourself if you are a person going through the GC process. I can take initiative for this task, my wife is a physician and I know 20 other doctors who are in the GC process.

As far as I know there is no limitation on the size of the company. As long as they are a stable and sound company you are good to go.

H-1B is the responsibility of the employer but it is slightly tricky. If the employee is being paid more than the minimum wage quoted, then he/she can be made liable to pay back the full amount. But still attorney fees and other associated costs can be collected back from the employee.
Either way 4 years is too long a period to hold anyone liable to any employment agreement when it is employment at will and should not have been signed to start with. It is just too late to regret and would be wise to move forward with options best known to you.

Time and again - there are confilicting opinion from attorneys.
My attorney ( and i trust her) said that if you are maintaining H1/H4 status (not necessairly VISA stamped) . your I-485/I-131 doesn't get considered cancelled and only requirements that you must be in US while filing. Being on purely non immigrant VISA like F1/F2/B1 you must be in US on day of approval.
People normally refer to friend's example but i have 2 collegues whose spouses has done same thing. Spouse's H4 visa stamping is long expired but they were gone to India after filing AP and they have comeback without any issue.
If you have not extended ur H1-B/H4 (dual immigrant) and have take advantage on AC-21 then I believe that you are not maintaining any non-immigrant status and you are just paroled in.

Well things are really tough out here (US), even volunteering is not allowed ...... :confused:
Again thanks to all the guys who posted , 50% say its ok to volunteer, 50% say it is not ok as we are displacing an american worker's job.
It makes it more confusing.
Let me ask one more question here, is it ok to volunteer on h4 visa for a non-profit organization like hospital.......

IMHO, do not sacrifice the career (either yours or your wife's) for the sake of GC .... the amount of money and experience that you stand to lose by not progressing in the career is very difficult to recoup after you get your GC. In this economy, more experience you gather, better will be your chances of securing a higher position and income. I always chose career over GC ... which delayed my GC by about 5 years, but the extra income and experience have more than made up for it ...
The good news is that you have an approved I-140, so you have a priority date that you can always use irrespective of type of application and/or sponsor (which means, you can file for a new I-140 based on your new job but with the old priority date). Do ask your new employer if they are open to file in EB-2 within one year of your employment based on your performance on the job.
The fall back option in terms of your wife's career is dicey to count on in this economy, IMHO. Your H1-B is a better fallback option while your GC is pending....just my 2-cents! Good luck! :)

I came to US on h1b visa in Feb 2007.... after joining my first job my employer applied for a change in LCA because of the new salary(which is less than the original)... USCIS replied to that amendment after 16 months with an RFE... My comapany responded to that RFE and after that they got a reply from the USCIS that the H1b amendment is denied....
My employer told me that I have to leave USA with in the next 2 weeks. But my h1b is valid up to sep 2009.
what are the options for me?

I am just wondering if kaiserrose can get his wife an EAD as well - doesn't that make both on AOS-pending status?
that requires his wife to first file a I-485 for herself, and she can only do that once his PD is current (EB3 INdia is at 2001, he is at 2003 so thats not possible right now)

Although your question is quite laughable and absurd, you could make a point by asking of a list of people who gave up on immigration to the US because of the EB3 backlog. And if these people did make it big..then you have a point.
