I don't know if IV is already doing it But the i think it is Good idea to call into Good Syndycates talk shows and let America hear about our Concerns and the Unfairness in the proposed Bill.

The EB-2 category for Indian nationals has retrogressed four years and will be set at January 1, 2000 for applications received beginning June 1st. If you are from China, the backlog is five years less - February 15, 2005. And if you are from any other country in the world, there is no wait at all. I am really appalled that Congress allows such an unjust distribution methodology to remain the law. No country is permitted to claim more than 7% of the numbers in a green card category. My reaction would have been the same if you were in Eb1 category. The fact is that I am trying to mobilize some people to get few things done. Of course, motivated by my self interest.
I was against SunnySurya's porting agenda and still am. But the current issue he is taking up is a genuine one. There should be a reasonable processing expectation that the earlier the PD the sooner the GC,with all other things (like category)being equal.
However eb3_nepa has a valid point too that you can't expect to utilize core's time/energy.
In my opinion, SunnySurya is going in right direction championing this cause.

Yes, we have to wait for CIR to die. Sooner the better, because once House Republicans start holding hearings on CIR, this slow death for CIR might stretch beyond July. Extended mockery of house legistlative process will leave us hanging in a limbo.
Once this CIR charade is over we can move a new bill with only legal immigration provisions through Senate. Hopefully, Democrats will regain House majority this November. Even if they don't, this will be a litmus test for house republicans who have been so vocal in supporting the streamlining of legal immigration.

Thats right. I don't see any issues with EB1 or EB2 movement, For gods sake EB2 came to 2005, EB1 is current. It is funny when the other poster said we need to work for EB1 also(It is current, what else you want to do there?).
I feel IV has to concentrate on EB3 now. Period.
It's simple. USCIS needs to understand it's just a plastic card and nothing else. People who have applied are going to be here no matter what.The return percentage is going to be less.
The sad part is we are treated as citizens on all aspects. Social security, Medicare, Taxes, etc. etc. But not in the real sense. So US should realsise its after all a card and some benefits to the people things wont change. No amount of lobbying to fix the whole problem is going to help. The effort has to be concentrated just for EB3-Indians. Then we can expect some relief. Becasue we are talking about people who have been wwaiting for more than 8-10 years.
In India Lifesentences in prisons dont last more than 14 years. we could beat that record here. :)

All checks cashed June 8th. It was sent to Nebrasks. I hardy just could read the SRC letters in back of my check. Online image in not good. I guess it has gone to Texas sercice center.

TIP: Print them you should be able to read.:) My checks cleared on the same day got the receipts yesterday. So you should be getting them today or tomorrow. I am not sure if attorney can chose whether to send it to you or not.
