Thanks sirinme, my job responsibilities are similar in the new job (i.e. same job code classification). My only concern is whether is it legally necessary to file papers to USCIS under AC21 informing of job change now or wait till visa numbers for me becoem current again.

I know that it was requested to send in checks, so as to avoid the processing fees etc from paypal, but i thought this could be the fastest way to send money, hence hv put in $51
I pledge to make another $101 as soon as we hit $5000.00 mark.

Average worldwide processing time for employment based green card applications is 1.43 years (Priority Date to GC approval).
In simple words, it takes 5.5 years to wrap up the 1 year GC demand for Indian applicants presuming there is no overflow from any other country GC visa quota.

The ones who are not staying in line and cutting ahead are the EB3 folks who are porting to EB2 ! Their line is the EB3 line. But they want to cut into the EB2 line whenever convenient. Atleast thats how most EB2 (and EB3) folks perceive the PD porting process.

I strongly believe none will be affected with this correct interpretation of EB dependents must not use ebquota.
What about EB applicants from non retrogressed countries/EB1? The primary gets GC in 6 months and the family will have to wait in FB quota?

I would try to contact FM 104.9 and AM 700 in Dallas both radio stations are delivering programs in Hindi and Urdu and to the extent very popular in SOuth Assian community. I would update here about my efforts.

I am wondering if anybody knows based on what indicators the cases are being transfered from one service center to another? My I485/765/131 went from Nebraska, to Texas, to Vermont (frustrating, since Vermont has the slowest processing times for I485). Any ideas?

In that case, I *guess* you can show yourself as "permanently self-employed" for your own company--should be easy if you have an LLC that does business in "same or similar" occupation (e.g., consulting/PM). Should also be easy to state the *projected" yearly income on EVL.

Hi Mehul, i'm really sorry to hear your situation. I was researching some stuff & since you are from Fiji & with the political unrest in your home country, can you take political asylum since you were kinda forced to leave the country. My vote goes for DC on 7/14. Many people like me might have already used their time off recently to get a medical exam and paperwork for I-485. I live in Baltimore area and simply cannot make it to DC on a weekday. If I lose my job I won't get a green card - as simple as that.
If there are others in Baltimore area who would like to join the action please don't hesitate to contact me. We could car pool and get together to make signs. I'll also try to gather some friends, although it might be tough on a short notice - almost everyone is on vacation.
I dont need to tell you how DC looks like on a weekend. None but visitors. Your boss must be really cruel to let you go for ever if you need to take half day off. Just joking :) Go ahead and create a poll with all possible options and then you can figure out what is the best option

I feel much better. These are trying times for sure.
Loads of work at the office, moving from one city to another and above all...this frustrating wait --- Its 2 much 2 handle. But I'm with u guyz...I think I shud just STFU N wait.
For all those waiting for approval, its does help to find out if a visa number has been requested for your application. My understanding is that all the applications which are ready for adjudication are moved to a separate area and visa number is requested for those.Infact if you can find out (I think the guys at Infopass only have access to that information. Not sure if the level 2 service does) it helps. If a visa number has been assigned or requested for your application it will get approved.
I am not sure if assigned to an officer or with an officer status has any material value when it comes to approval unless a visa number has been requested.
