My question is - has anobdy got their cards without getting the CPO e-mail - I have recd the approval notice on 11th in the mail - but I have yet to get the cards also I did not get the CPO e-mail:confused:

We got our Cards today along with Welcome notice.
Yesterday status got updated for me and my wife as below:
Current Status: Approval notice sent.
On August 8, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.
Hope I will receive GC soon. Haven't got CPO mails/status yet.

Another silent deshi employer here trying to scar H1s not to sue. I guess he created his ID (Join Date: Apr 2008) just for this.
Go and create another website in favour of deshi blood su&^%$rs called reverse-IV.org. Don't try to mock here.
i agree with u gc4me. he seems to be one among my employer's company. if u see, he has replied only for this post, nothing other than this post. except this issue, he doesn't seem to be interested in any other issues in this forum..earlier he said his friend paid $350 for evaluation of non compete and now he says he himself paid $350 to attorney. how can anyone be 9 yrs on

Well, you assume family members can get AP and EAD after submitting I-485. Not true for many people. Take myself as an example, I was not lucky enough to file my I485 in 2007. So with a PD of early 2007, I have none of the benefit from AOS at all.
Although for me it's not a big deal because my wife will soon get her PhD and will file for her own immigration petition. This actually works better for us, because it will make the line much shorter and both of us will get the green card much quicker.
However, for those who do not work and solely depend on their spouses to get green card. This change can spell disaster for them during the long wait caused by retrogression without the ability to file AOS.

I think the answer is yes, we will get our EAD and AP.
USCIS only looks at your PD while they issue case number (when you file for 485) and next when they approve your case (they issue your GC)
they will issue an EAD and AP for all pending applications. EAD and AP don't need PD. as long as you have a case pending with USCIS you can get new/renewed EAD and AP

I am shocked to hear the sad news. My god give peace to his wife and his kid. MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE.

My case was received by NSC on Jun 25th. No word yet. My I-140 is from Texas. Very worrying situation,
Don't worry.. you will be fine. you will receipt from TSC in day or two
our application reached NSC on 22 june and cheque cashed yesterday. wait for one or two day, you will get good news

(one year and one day since we applied for AOS)
I got an email today from USCIS stating this
Current Status: Card production ordered.
I did not receive any other approval notice. I hope this means that our 485 is approved and the cards have been ordered ?

There could be 3 reasons , which i could think of
1. The CIR, which was providing amnesty to aroun 12 million illegal residents in the US,so they wanted to keep the legal residents happy.
2.The DOS wanted to force USCIS to finish its backlog, if the dates were current and USCIS would have to accept our applications then they would have to process a lot of EAD/AP and would required a lot of work, They could put the 485 in queue but not AP/EAD. So the only way for USCIS was to process the backlog(At least many legal residents got GCS)
3.USCIS wanted to avoid accepting these applications till July 30, to get more fees( I think this is the least possible reason)

Yes, case was originally filed at NSC on July 2nd and on august 24th it got transferred to TSC.
Does the transfer matter here, because dingudi's case is not a transfer case and he's still waiting...
I am in the same boat. 485 filed at NSC on July 12, sent to TSC on September 7th. EAD/AP filed on Aug 9 at NSC and they are still in NSC.
I have AP approved and EAD pending. No FP notice yet either. Its been more than 45 days since opening a SR for that for both me and my wife. System sucks. I have been to the local ASC 3 times with no results.
Again I am not sure if the fact that my 485 is in TX and EAD/AP is in NE is cauing all the problems.
